In an effort to stabilize the market for Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs) Delawares Public Service Commission (PSC) approved a long term program that essentially guarantees the prices of SRECs for the next 20 years.
Homeowners will get $260 per 1,000 kilowatt hours produced during the first 10 years of the contract, and $50 per 1,000 kilowatt hours during the second 10 years.
Systems above 50 kilowatts but below 250 kilowatts, including small businesses, would get $240 per 1,000 kilowatt hours for the first 10 years and $50 per 1,000 kilowatt hours for the following 10 years.
