We received the following notification today from the Delaware grant office:
The Green Energy Program staff received notice today from the Delaware Electric Cooperative about several new program changes the Cooperative is implementing for their Renewable Resource Program. These changes are effective immediately, for all applications received after January 1, 2012 as per the Delaware Electric Cooperative’s instruction.
Most importantly, the reservation process for grants has changed. The Delaware Electric Cooperative has established a funding reservation system that does NOT allow funding approvals in excess of the funding that the program will collect during the calendar year. This reservation system establishes a program budget for reservations. Applications will only be accepted during calendar year 2012 until this year’s program budget of $268,979.92 is exhausted. After the program budget for 2012 is exhausted, no additional applications will be accepted until the 2013 program opens. Delaware Electric Cooperative will not maintain or accept a queue of requests for 2013 funding after the 2012 budget is exhausted.
Additionally, the maximum grant award for all technologies has been reduced. This chart details the new incentive budget allocations and maximum grant awards....
PV Residential: Max. Grant Award $ 7,500
PV Commercial: Max. Grant Award$ 10,000
IMPORTANT: Due to the new reservation process, in order for an application to be accepted by the Green Energy Program Team, all initial “phase one” grant documentation must be submitted in full. Incomplete packages will not be kept on file and will be immediately returned to the applicant or contractor. DO NOT submit partial grant applications. No exceptions can be made to this policy.
If you are a Delaware Coop customer contact us to get in line for your grant, don't let this opportunity pass without talking to us.
Please note: the changes detailed above effect the Delaware Electric Cooperative Program ONLY. The Delmarva Power and all Delaware Municipal Electric Corporation (DEMEC) programs have not changed.
